Today I used 'Prezi' for the first time, I initially found it pretty confusing but eventually got the hang of it. For the task we worked together in our groups to find some similarities between our personal items. In our group we relised all of our personal items had been given to us by someone either close to us or even given to us by strangers. We then decided to form our presentation around the idea of gifts.

After researching Kate Mockford I decided I wanted to create a magazine about Liverpool incorporating her use of both simple shapes and vectors. I also liked the way in which her work is recognisable and fluent throughout her work. Her use of simple shapes and vectors gives the image a modern and sophisticated feel whilst still looking basic.
After watching the film “Sliding Doors”, a film
showing the main character Gwyneth Paltrow’s life in two completely different
situations all due to a train sliding door being open or closed. I decided I wanted to make a film around this concept.
The Last Supper is a modern day, tongue in cheek, romantic comedy with a twist. "Meet the Parents meets Sliding doors."
Heart As Big As The City
My first project in my second year of college was to create a video short maximum duration 1 minute. The project was to create an illustrated poem and it had to be made up of a variety of shot compositions and tell the story of a poem or verse. The visual element could be made up of moving and still images & accompanied by a piece of music, but had to contain live recorded spoken audio for the poem or verse being used, I decided to use a verse from the Pete Wylie song heart as big as liverpool as it is a song that is both like and it means something to me.
Here are a few Images I took and experimented on with the main focus around 'nature' I also liked the idea of making Nature appear artificial and created this through experimentation with the vibrance and saturation of the image in photoshop.
Hey... finally decided to start a blog to share all my work and influences. Feel free to comment on any post as I'd love to hear your opinion on my work...
