Today I tried to get my head around the software after effects, I'm getting used to it and put together a small piece.

What Is Art?
As part of my Creativity and Concept Development module, we had to pitch an idea for a short documentary of a part of Liverpool. In my team we decided to go for the angle of "What Is Art?" we chose this after visiting the walker art gallery earlier this year we all had different opinions on what art in fact is. At first our group had three people in, myself, Nick and Meghan but after the second week of the project Nick sadly dropped out.
Our idea was to explore the idea's of what is art? due to the fact in our team all three of us had very different and contrasting opinions, this gave us a lot of different idea's to explore and helped us form some sort of debate on the subject.
For our pitch we did a short film shown below

Ferry Cross The Mersey
For our location profile we filmed on the Ferry, here is an edited version of my footage and we are currently editing the finished two minute piece of all our footage.
CCTV
Outside university I have continued my passion for film by creating both music
video’s for numerous local musician’s, including Liverpool’s Male artist of the
year Ali Ingle. I also have set up a YouTube channel called “CCTV” also know as
“Culture City Television”. CCTV gives new musicians a chance to get their music
out there on the online platform giving them a wider audience. This has allowed
me to merge my passion for music and my passion for film together whilst giving
me the chance to work in team and organizing a team of individuals that I feel
would help create the best final product.

Articles About The Film Award
After winning the film award earlier mentioned I have recently featured in a few different newspapers, websites magazines. Below are a few images of the interviews and articles.
Complications When Filming On Location
As apart of my groups location project we chose to do it on the Ferry. The day we were set the location module we when down to the docks to speak to someone about getting permission. We spoke to a very helpful lady who gave me an email to contact about getting permission. After emailing three times I decided to ring Mersey travel. Mersey travel initially said it wasn't possible to get permission to film on the ferry, after explaining the reasons for filming and how we would be showing the city and ferry in a good light they allowed us to film.
They day before filming I received a phone call from the head of the mersey transport stating that we no longer had permission to film on the ferry, after yet again stressing the importance of this module to our course they allowed us to film again but we all needed to sign a few forms and email them back to her at the end of the day.
Although this process was very annoying and time consuming it has prepared me for the difficulties when filming on location at both university and industry level.
(Below show the emails sent from Mersey transport and forms we had to fill in)
Stop Frame Animation
After numerous different idea's my group decided to make a stop motion of a piece of paper in some way coming to life as the artist leaves the room. We used to the song "Somebody That I Used TO Know- Gotye" as we felt it worked well with the piece and the video of the song itself has slight references to what we wanted our stop frame to represent. Below the stop motion is shown.
