Complications When Filming On Location

As apart of my groups location project we chose to do it on the Ferry. The day we were set the location module we when down to the docks to speak to someone about getting permission. We spoke to a very helpful lady who gave me an email to contact about getting permission. After emailing three times I decided to ring Mersey travel. Mersey travel initially said it wasn't possible to get permission to film on the ferry, after explaining the reasons for filming and how we would be showing the city and ferry in a good light they allowed us to film.

They day before filming I received a phone call from the head of the mersey transport stating that we no longer had permission to film on the ferry, after yet again stressing the importance of this module to our course they allowed us to film again but we all needed to sign a few forms and email them back to her at the end of the day.

Although this process was very annoying and time consuming it has prepared me for the difficulties when filming on location at both university and industry level.

(Below show the emails sent from Mersey transport and forms we had to fill in)
